A. Introduction
These Guidelines aim to maintain the integrity and excellence of the Vocational Education and Training Sector Awards by clearly outlining the rules and processes that govern the nomination, voting, and awarding phases. This document serves to provide clarity, ensuring a fair and transparent awards process.
B. General Rules
All participants involved in the awards, including nominees, nominators, voters, and organisers, are expected to conduct themselves with integrity and respect. Key dates for the nomination and voting process are strictly observed. Entries received after the deadline will not be accepted. All nominations must be based on merit and substantiated with supporting evidence. Any attempt at fraudulent voting will lead to disqualification of the nominee. Personal attacks or disparaging comments about other nominees are strictly prohibited.
C. Specific Rules for Each Category
Each award category has its unique eligibility criteria and rules. For example, for the ‘Training Provider of the Year’ category, the nominee must be a registered training provider with a proven track record of excellence. In contrast, the ‘Student of the Year’ must be a current or recent student who has shown outstanding achievement in their studies. Please refer to the individual category descriptions for detailed eligibility and assessment criteria.
D. Nomination Guidelines
Nominations should be submitted through the online form available on our website. Each nomination should include the nominee’s contact information, a detailed description of the nominee’s achievements, and any supporting documents or links. Be as specific and detailed as possible to present a strong case for your nominee.
E. Voting Guidelines
Voting should take place during the designated voting period through the official voting platform on our website. Voters must provide their contact information to ensure the validity of their vote. Each voter is allowed to vote once per category. Votes cast outside of the voting period will not be counted.
F. Award Ceremony Guidelines
The awards ceremony is a formal event. Attendees are expected to dress in business or formal attire. All attendees should conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. The ceremony program includes the announcement of winners, presentation of awards, and speeches from selected awardees and distinguished guests.
G. Compliance
Compliance with these guidelines is mandatory for all participants. Non-compliance may lead to disqualification from the awards. This includes, but is not limited to, violating the rules of conduct, submitting fraudulent nominations, attempting to manipulate the voting process, or failing to adhere to the eligibility criteria. The awards committee reserves the right to investigate any allegations of non-compliance and to take appropriate action. Participants have the right to appeal decisions related to compliance by submitting a written request to the awards committee.
